Description
Dark purple, lustrous Fluorite cubes are associated with sharp, gemmy, water-clear Quartz crystals. Some of the prism faces of the latter species are coated by beige-green Gilbertite, a compact variety of Muscovite. Small acicular Arsenopyrite crystals with a metallic luster sit between the Quartz. Good Fluorite specimens form the Ehrenfriedersdorf district are coveted among collectors and hard to get. A very good locality piece from the Sauberg Mine which has been turned into a tourist mine with a museum, and, what would you expect, collecting is prohibited.
