Description
The crystals on this Baryte specimen from Cavnic show the typical spear-shaped terminations. The crystals are extremely sharp, translucent in the center and transparent towards the edges. The vitreous luster of the gemmy crystals is stunning. With very little Rhodochrosite in the matrix. This is from heydays of the mine in the 1980s, a time when Romania´s communist dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu ramped up mining to get sought after west money. A very good overall aesthetic appeal!
