Description
This is a superb, miniature sized specimen of this uncommon species, found at Rapid Creek of Dawson Mining District in Canada. The single crystals are excellent developed, razor sharp and mirror bright. And here we have a dark grey matrix, coveredon both sides with glassy and gemmy, green crystals of Augelite up to 7 mm across. The crystal tips exhibit a darker, richer green colour. Augelite is an uncommon aluminum rich phosphate and this is generally considered to be among the world´s best locality for pretty crystals of this species.
