Description
To describe this specimen merely as Fluorite in a Quartz vug would be an understatement. This specimen is from the famous Mahodari Quarry in the state of Maharashtra in India, which is well-known for spherical, yellow fluorite (among a variety of other species). And this specimen has three of these Fluorite balls to almost 2 cm in diameter, nestled in a quartz-filled cavity. As icing on the cake, a so-so Calcite crystal is perched on on of the Fluorite balls. A gorgeous cabinet specimen, a classic combination, a must-have for every Fluorite collector!
