Description
The granitic phosphate pegmatite Hagendorf in Bavaria´s north was closed in 1984 an is since flooded. It has produced 203(!) valid mineral species and is type locality for 29. One of these 203 mineral species is Ludlamite, which this specimen is a very good sample of. Ludlamite in Hagendorf usually occurs in micros, the vug of this specimen with its greenish, glassy Ludlamite with pronounced crystal faces is much larger. If you can´t decide to get a bigger Ludlamite from elsewhere, latch on to this one. You will not regret it.
