Description
Pyrite is a very common species at the island of Elba,- but only from the iron mines which are famous for great Hematite and Pyrite specimens. This kind of combination however is rare. And here we have a bunch of well formed, brassy Pyrite dodecahedrons nicely scattered over creamy Adularia rhombs. Despite the circumstance that not all Pyrites are perfect, this is a highly aesthetic, rare and desirable combo from the famed Calamita mine of Capoliveri, Elba.
