Description
Zunyite is a RARE chlorinated silicate. This very rich and showy specimen is from the TYPE LOCALITY - the Zuni Mine in the Silverton District of Colorado. Glassy, translucent, creamy, triangular crystals to 2 mm richly cover all sides of the typically kaolinite-rich matrix. An old-time, classic specimen, nearly 100 years old or older and rarely available. This is an excellent example of this rare material.
