Description
Here we have a fine Cacoxenite specimen from the Leonie Mine od Auerbach in Upper Palatinate. This is a small, but very rich specimen of Cacoxenite from an unusual German locality. Cacoxenite is a uncommon hydrated aluminum iron phosphate, here represented as small, bright golden yellow, radial divergent fans of acicular crystals disseminated throughout the gossanous matrix of this miniature. Crystals are never large, but they make up for it with their vibrant golden colour! Nice piece that looks even better under the microscope!
