Description
Here we have a rare specimen of well-developed Ilmenite crystals measuring to 3,6 cm, now replaced by Hematite. The Hematite pseudomorphs form modified, well defined cuboctahedral crystals with smooth faces and reasonably sharp edges. From the Dypingdal Serpentine-magnesite deposit at Snarum, Norway. The pseudomorphed crystals are a metallic lustrous grey-black and are remarkably fine examples for this locality. Ex Dr. Hans-Jürgen Wilke collection
