Description
The Artenberg Quarry near Steinach produced during the great finds in the 1970s the most desired Fluorite specimens of the Black Forest. Just a few years later, the company decided to work in another area of the quarry and consequently, good Fluorite specimens from here became even way more rare and sought after. Nowadays it is exceeding hard to get hold of a good and undamaged Artenberg-Fluorite. And despite, this is just a thumber, this a real great one with typically stepped faces, octahedral form and the rare and rather unusual blue colour (usually the octahedrons are green). No imperfection on the Fluorite crystal so far I can see. A great piece.
