Description
This is an exceptionally rich, rarer, large example of the lead/silver/antimony sulfide Fizelyite from the TYPE LOCALITY, Herja Mine of Baia Mare at Maramureș, Romania. These came out in the early to mid-1900s (and some even earlier) and are often confused with Semseyite - although this is much rarer and has obvious differences to the eye, in person. This plate is loaded with the stuff! It occurs as sharp prismatic crystals to 1 cm or so accompanied by Tetrahedrite, fibrous Plumosite, glistening Calcite and Semseyite to over 1 cm. Definitely a KILLER PIECE !!!
