Description
Here we have a superb, old-time specimen of Ilvaite from Rio Marina of Elba Island in Tucany, Italy. This species was first described from here and was named after an old spelling of the island of Elba. While not as lustrous like its Russian counterparts, this equant, black, crystals are associated as a superfine specimen. The crystals are sharp edged and excellent terminated. This kind of material is from the TYPE LOCALITY and way more rarer than the Russian. And it is an AESTHETIC one as well.
