Description
Nicely emplaced on matrix of contrasting white Natrolite are a bunch of well formed, triganol Benitoite crystals. A fine specimen from the Dallas Gem Mine of California. Lustrous, partially gemmy, indigo-blue Benitoite crystals to 1,5 cm richly cover the snow-white Natrolite covered matrix on this piece. Startling aesthetics and balance make this a competition-level miniature, and it is an old piece from the Dr. Pesl collection purchased by him in the 1980s or previously. Specimens like this, with only minor imperfection are seldom seen, and rare amidst "more clunky" examples.
