Description

This is another very excellent Summitville Covellin specimen, which is certainly not as richly studded with Covellite clusters as the previous one, however, it impresses with the additional contrast and perfection of the crystals. The excellent, 1.6 cm measuring main rosette, which is located relatively central on the specimen, consists of relatively precise six-sided and thin-tabular crystals. They have the coveted peacock-colored iridescence with an incredibly beautiful metallic luster. This is excellent material from older finds, made before 1980, that has now almost completely disappeared from the market—especially in this top quality, which by no means has to hide behind the great specimens of Butte in Montana. On the contrary, many aesthetic collectors consider this material to be the best in the world.
