Description

Glaucosphaerite is an extremely rare Copper-Nickel Carbonate and this exceptional specimen is literally covered in light green, acicular Glaucosphaerite crystals up to several mm in size. These needles form Christmas tree-shaped crystal clusters that give this fuzzy beauty an extremely attractive appearance. This is classic material from the 1980s, which was originally given the name Kasompiite after the location where it was found but later, after some research, renamed to Glaucosphaerite. It´s not really common that rare species appear in such aesthetic pieces.
