Description

A very fine specimen of Chabazite from Maglovec Quarry, an active stone pit where Andesite and Dioritporphyrite is mined. The place is known for having produced great specimens of Chabasite. In this case Chabasite has formed large olive-green rhombohedral crystals with measure up to 2 cm on edge on matrix. They have a very nice porcelain luster, are excellently defined and as far as I can see with the unaided eye, the sharp edges of the very fresh crystals are in perfect condition. Classic and extremely aesthetic zeolite material, which has not been produced in this quality for a long time. The specimen is from the Vienna based collector Dr N. Pesl.
