Description

Over the years, numerous Apophyllite specimens from well known Italian locality Seiser Alm (Alpe di Suisi) of South Tyrol went trough my fingers,- but I do not remember such a fine and elegant one. In this specific case we have an opened vug, covered with pale meat coloured and multiple faceted crystals of Analcime with typically high ceramic luster. In the center of this vug we find a bunch of highly exposed, six-sided and bladed crystals of Apophyllite. They are glassy and gemmy with superb luster and extremely sharp edges. The Apophyllite crystals are almost pristine with only one imperfection. In any case a super specimen in splendend condition. Such high class material is hard to come by nowadays. The price is definitely a bargain.
