Description
Good Clinoclase specimens can still be seen from time to time, although they are rare to begin with and hardly ever on the market. However, this is just the second specimen of this species that we got our hands on from the Alsatian mining district of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines. The Clinoclase crystals on this specimen are beautifully formed and have the typical glassy, dark mint-blue-green color. The crystals, most of which are undamaged, are perched on a matrix of glisteninge beige Quartz microcrystals. Incredibly rare and aesthetically pleasing material, which by no means has to hide from other localities that are more well-known for this species.
