Description
Quartz/Hedenbergite combinations from the Huanggang Mine in Mongolia, such as this cabinet sized piece, are sharp and dramatic. In the past, these were called "Prase" or "Prasem" when found in Greece or at Dalnegorsk in Russia - and are generally very rare in the world. Coloured green by Hedenbergite inclusions, the long, tapered, multifaceted Quartz crystals are exceeding aesthetics. They are razor sharp as well, superbly terminated and accompanied by metallic, bladed Hematite. But most remain complete so that the striking appearance easily reminds one of similar, classic specimens from Serifos, Greece or rather Dal’negorsk, Russia. Really, quite eye-catching aesthetics
