Description
Here we have a great cluster of well developed, sharp and lustrous Stolzite from the famous Sainte-Lucie Mine of Lozere in France. This is an exceptional crystal cluster for both the size and the display aesthetics, this piece stands as a superb thumber from a small find in France that really redefined what you could expect from the species. These crystals, I think, are unrivalled for quality and form for the species save for just a few specific specimens known from older workings in Australia - and those of quite another crystal habit entirely, at that. These were found in the early 1990s and quickly dispersed. This would definitely be one of the better thumbnail specimens,- and so hard to obtain in these days.
