Description
This is a great specimen, a thin slab of honey-brown Sphalerite crystals with relatively low in iron (hence the color and the old term "Honigspat", honey spar). Clusters of gemmy-translucent crystals up to half a centimeter show a vitreous luster. In the late 1970s, the Lüderich Mine closed after a long and productive mining history.
