Description
This superfine small cabinet sized specimen features several, relatively stout wires of native Silver in a wide opened vug of Sphalerite-bearing matrix. Here we see curved and curled Silver wires, which decorate this small cab from the historic, world-class location of Jachymov in the Czech Republic. Some of the Silver wires have a fabulous patina and stunning, curvaceous shape. Jachymov produced over the centuries a wide range of fine silver minerals, but good wire Silvers from there were always rare and desired. A great and unusual good specimen for the locality from the collection of Vienna collector Dr. Pesl.
