Description
Kermesite from Bräunsdorf near Freiberg, Saxony, which is the type locality for the species. Silver was mined there from 1673 until 1862. Clusters of acicular Kermesite crystals with a characteristic carmine red color in a small, 0.8 cm measuring vug that is lined with tiny, translucent Quartz crystals.
