Description
This piece doesn’t look like much until you realize that this is a rare species from its type locality, which commonly occurs as micro mineral. And here, we have a HUGE Baumhauerite crystal from the Lengenbach Quarry in the Swiss Binntal. It is embedded in limestone, and measures a whopping 1.2 cm!!! It is steel gray, displays a strong metallic luster with a faint iridescence, and striated faces. A specimen of a rare species from the type locality. Can it get any better?
