Description
It may just be a small cabinet specimen, but it is a good one: Relatively large, ca. 0.7 cm measuring sharp Rutile crystals, black brown in color, on a bed of brown translucent Calcite rhombohedrons which get up to 2 cm in size. The tetragonal Rutile shows lustrous crystal faces, some with growth patterns and striations. A good piece from the Rhône Gorge up in the Swiss Alps.
