Description
A very rich specimen with Sphalerite crystals on almost pure massive Sphalerite matrix. The entire display side of the piece is covered with highly lustrous, amber-brown (low-Iron content!) gemmy translucent Sphalerite crystals to 0.5 cm, and I am tempted to call them Cleiophane (see also auction item # 4823 in this auction). A TOP specimen for the locality, the Lüderich Mine east of Cologne, Germany.
