Here we have yet another rare locality piece, this time from the Allos Pass in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence Département, France A doubly terminated “Herkimer-style” Quartz floater with distinct “Fenster” on the prism faces. The gemmy crystal is clear translucent with a great vitreous luster. And best of all, it is rare and nearly perfect.
