Description
A wonderful piece with great colour and contrast and here we see an aesthetic and classic cluster of gemmy, green Apophyllite crystals accented by white Stilbite from the famous, and now closed, Pashan Quarry at Poona (now Pune). These were old rock quarries, now paved over by the expansion of Mumbai. This particular style amazed us back in the 1980s and this is a dramatic, excellent example from the old finds. The cluster is measuring more than 5 cm in lenght, is excellent terminated and all of the glassy crystals just glow with that distinctive mint green colour from the finds at this locale in the 1980s.
