Description
This is a great specimen. An almost 2 cm measuring Zircon crystal perched on a natural pedestal of a Calcite matrix. Quite a contrast! The crystal has sharp, a vitreous luster, and is gemmy with a bit of translucency, although not perfect. Bring your oxygen tank if you want to go collecting at the outcrops of the Pakistani Astore Valley in the Himalayas Mountains. It is well above 3.400 m altitude!
