Description

A great miniature-sized specimen of radiating sprays of acicular Pyrophyllite crystals, shining like gold and with a pearlescent luster. They are from the classic US locality Bowlings Mountain Mine in Granville County, North Carolina. The mine works a Talc-Soapstone deposit in Serecite Schist. An old-time style specimen in that quality is rarely found in dealers stocks.
