Description
Typically brick red, tabular Heulandite crystals lining two vugs on front and back of the specimen. The crystals are sharp with a strong silky luster and show a six-sided habit. This is a classic from the Italian Fassa Valley in the Monzoni Mountains with its ultramafic rocks (Diorites, Pyroxenites, Gabbros) and a wide zone of contactmetasomatic rocks that has been studied for two centuries.
