Description
This is a shiny Hematite specimen with the typical habit for the locality Sopa, a small village known for its diamond mines since the 17th century in Minas Gerais, the large inland state in southeastern Brazil. It differs significantly from Hematite from Ouro Preto as they are more clearly fanned out and not as compact. The individual crystals are a little thinner bladed and more individual. They have an attractive six-sided crystal form, an extremely high metallic luster, and razor sharp edges. A super aesthetic specimen with only minor imperfections. Top overall aesthetics.
