Description
The Fengjiashan Mine in the Chinese Hubei province is a skarn-type Iron-Copper deposit that is actually better known for Inesit and Hubeite instead of Apophyllite. Especially in a good quality such as this piece with tabular, creamy white large Apophyllite crystals that are partly covered with sparkling Calcite crystals. The Apophyllite is gemmy translucent with a vitreous luster. Some crystal faces are striated. This specimen with very good overall aesthetics has hardly any imperfections.
