Description
It is difficult to judge whether this is more of a Proustite or an Arsenic specimen, especially since the lathe-shaped Proustite crystals are up to half a cm in length embedded in abundant Arsenic. When one thinks of it as an Arsenic specimen, it is very excellent for the species, with botryoidal, sometimes wonderfully layered seams with a typical anthracite-black color of Arsenic. While you get lost in admiring the Arsenic, one discovers numerous, sparkling Proustite crystals in vugs and interstices. An excellent old timer from the classic deposit in the Czech Ore Mountains.
