Description
Beautiful sculptural miniature-sized specimen composed of intergrown dodecahedral Hessonite (a variety of the Grossular species) crystals. They are dark chocolate brown, sharp, and with a vitreous luster. This super aesthetic and pristine specimen is fantastic all around. It is from the Ligurian locality Gava Valley northwest of Genova, a deposit hosted in rhodingite and serpentinite host rock, and it can be displayed from every angle.
