Description
What an excellent specimen of jet black Uvite, a member of the Tourmaline group. A large, sharp and compact cluster with excellent luster, few imperfections and numerous extensively healed crystal faces. A cluster of indistinct quartz crystals forms a pretty contrasting matrix just below the Tourmaline. This is an old Pierrepont Tourmaline, and just a terrific one. This unique non-prismatic form characteristic of this classic American locality in upstate New York.
