Description
You are looking at a significant and relatively old Sardinian specimen from Monte Mesu near the village of Villamassargia of Carbonia-Iglesias Province in Sardinia’s southwest. This highly aesthetical and well-balanced specimen features several amber-golden and absolutely GEMMY chisel-shaped Baryte crystals. They are perfectly terminated and show a vitreous luster. The crystals display a beautiful offset color-zoning and wonderful razor sharp edges. This is certainly a stunning piece, it is almost almost pristine. Only at the very periphery are minor contacts which is not uncommon. Pieces like this one are rarely offered for sale due to the fact, that the great finds (1970s and 1980s) of this superb material long gone.
