Description
A super specimen from Madan, the extensive Lead-Zink(-Silver) mining district in southern Bulgaria. The Galena crystals show a typical tabular habit, and are intergrown in a rich cluster. The main crystals are undamaged as far as I can see. The crystals are lead-grey in color, with a strong metallic luster. An extremely high aesthetic appeal with an unusual crystal shape for an isometric mineral.
