Description
A fine cluster of lustrous, lime-green Peridot crystals on Serpentine matrix from the Pakistani locality Sapat Gali, a mountain pass at over 4,000 meters altitude. This is a classic and not so common matrix specimen from a locality that has produced some of the finest Peridot crystals in the world. A few of the crystals are gem quality, cutting rough, while others are gemmy and translucent. Peridot from this locality shows different colors in sun light vs. fluorescent light. These Pakistani Peridot specimens were relatively common for a short while and now are hard to get.
