Description
A nice dark olive-green single Tourmaline miniature specimen from the well-known granite pegmatite locality which belongs to the Araçuaí Pegmatite District of the Eastern Brazilian Pegmatite Province. The crystal cluster of two parallel crystals is very translucent in the center with darker sections on top and bottom. Good triangular terminations, typical striation on the prism faces and a vitreous luster characterize beauty. BTW, the southeastern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais is home to 586 valid mineral species and a whopping 54 type localities.
