Description
A miniature specimen with carmine red, glassy and acicular Carminite crystals on andesitic-granitic matrix. You probably guessed it that the species Carminite was named for its carmine-red color. The crystals with a vitreous-pearly luster are well developed, they are sharp edges with many very good terminations. Very rare material from the San Felix Mine located in the “Desert Gold Province” in the north west section of the Mexican state of Sonora. Hardly offered, extremely rich specimen for the species.
