Description
Here we have a stunning specimen of Erythrite from the famous Aghbar Mine of Bou Azzer in Morocco. A large specimen, considering the fragility of the species and the generally small pockets in which they are found, which has brilliant magenta-coloured crystals covering the entire display surface and all major crystals are fringed with numerous puffballs of lighter purple Erythrite. . The crystals are metallic and translucent, to 2 cm in length. A few of the smaller Erythrite crystals are actually gemmy with a slightly brighter magenta colour. Overall, this relatively large specimen with some dominant crystal clusters stands out from the majority of pieces we saw from recent finds here.
