Description
This is a very nice and typically crystallized Pyrargyrite specimen from the Samson Mine in the Harz region of St. Andrerasberg. The black-gray crystals are nicely defined with a strong metallic luster, super terminations and its typical red inner reflections. A very aesthetic thumbnail of St. Andreasberg Pyrargyrite, a German classics and sought after. The Samson Mine is among the most significant mining monuments in Europe. From 1521 until its closure in 1910, silver ore was the mining commodity, and groundbreaking mining technique were developed there.
