A single sharp Ruby crystal on a typical matrix from the Mysore Corundum deposits, India. Six-sided crystal form with one side well terminated. This red Corundum variety with a faint violet hue has a nice pearly luster. And be prepared to get blinded when you expose this piece to ultraviolet light!
