Description

This is a classic Azurite-Malachite combination from the classic Tsumeb Mine in Namibia. A miniature with sharp, deep royal blue Azurite crystals with a vitreous luster perched on a bed of velvety, grass-green Malachite needles. A historic specimen that comes with an old label from the Dipl.-Ing. W. Maucher mineral dealership in Munich, Germany, handwritten in Sütterlin script. The label has the Schellingstraße 73 address which dates specimen and label as pre 1944. The shop was moved to Pasing, a part in the west of the city of Munich after the original location was destroyed during an Allied bombing raid during WWII.
