Description
A very 3-dimensional arrangement of sharp, creme-white Adualria crystals with a great resinous luster. The proverbial icing on the cake is a faint dusting with olive green Chlorite which adds contrast to this super aesthetic piece. A great cabinet specimen on a tiny little bit of matrix. Adularia is the low-temperature variety of Orthoclase, and commonly found in alpine-type clefts, in this case, from the classic Swiss locality Val Guiv, a glacial trough valley in the south-eastern Aar massif in the canton of Grisons.
