Description
An exceptionally beautiful partially TRANSLUCENT Almandine single crystal, 2.3 cm on edge, with a great luster on mica schist typical for this alpine locality. A pristine piece, a classic from a locality that has produces red garnet for possibly 5000 years, however, this one is RARE as garnet from this locality is generally hardly translucent and much less lustrous. A textbook Garnet example for its perfect crystallography!
