Description
Tremolite is a little bit the underdog of collectible minerals. Usually occurring in fibrous masses, very often lacking a distinct crystal shape and crystallizing under challenging conditions of high pressure and high temperature like skarn rocks. So to find a Tremolite specimen with actual crystals, free standing crystals such as on this Swiss specimen is a stroke of luck. Numerous radiating sprays of acicular Tremolite crystals cover a matrix of fibrous Tremolite. An unusual specimen that not only speaks to Alpine collectors.
