This is an exceptional good Galena specimen with well defined crystals from German locale Lüderich mine of Bensberg near Cologne. The crystals here are sharp edged, superbly terminated and showing fine metallic sheen. In this specific case they are more isolated than intergrown what gives the piece a stunning aesthetic look. Classic and relatively old-time material seldom seen for sale in this quality. The Lüderich mine was closed in 1978 after 126 years of production and consequently, such items are history.
