Here we have a very rare and attractive small cabinet sized specimen with numerous acicular, reddish-brown needles of Metahewettite embedded in crystalline Gypsum masses. Metahewettite is a RARE hydrated calcium-vanadate and it is incredibly hard to find good matrix pieces. Fine and classic material from Ambrosia Lake Mining sub-district of McKinley county in New Mexico.
